Graffiti Removal & Mural Restoration
Public art is only as strong as its care. Vivache Designs removes graffiti and restores murals with the precision of artists. We protect our own work, restore murals by other artists, and help cities, agencies, and property owners keep public spaces whole.
Graffiti removal that respects the surface
Removing graffiti from a mural is delicate work. The wrong method strips the artwork along with the tag. Led by artist Michael Che Romero, our team understands paint, surfaces, and materials at a deep level, so we remove graffiti while preserving what lies beneath. We also remove graffiti from walls, structures, and infrastructure where no artwork exists.
Anti-graffiti protective coatings
When a site calls for it, we apply anti-graffiti coatings over finished murals and surfaces. They form a protective layer that lets future graffiti be removed without harming the artwork underneath, which keeps maintenance simple and protects the investment for years.
Mural restoration
Murals age, and many have been damaged by graffiti, sun, and weather over decades. We restore murals by Vivache and by other artists, approaching each work with care for the original artist's intent, color, and technique.
Murals as graffiti prevention
A wall with art on it is far less likely to be tagged. Cities across the country use murals as part of their graffiti abatement strategy, and for good reason. Every Vivache mural is built on meticulous surface preparation and our proprietary additive, developed with the guidance of Dr. Indu Bhusan Mishra, giving it lasting resistance to fading and making it easier to clean. Learn more about the science behind it in The Lab.
For cities and public agencies
Vivache holds a California C-33 license and DIR registration, so we can work on public projects, prevailing wage contracts, and infrastructure. We work on underpasses, bridges, walls, and public structures, and we coordinate with agencies on access, permits, and traffic control. See the scale of our infrastructure work in Selected Works.
