1. Free Consultation

We schedule your free consultation. And during your art consultation, we will do the following

  • talk about the area you'd like uplift

  • discuss each idea you might have

  • site survey - looking at decor and the room aesthetic and color scheme

  • take a exact measurements and photos.

2. Creative Deck & Estimate

We'll set up a second consultation to present a Creative Deck and articulate our vision of the mural, along with an estimate.

At this point, we'll discuss any changes you might have to the design or personalization's you might like to add. 

We'll set up a subsequent meeting to introduce a Creative Deck and verbalize our vision of the wall painting, including an estimate for the scope of work. Now, we'll examine any progressions you may have to the plan or personalization's you would like to include.

3. Design Concept

This is the most vital & important part of the process. We take all of your ideas including our own creative intellect a begin the invasive design process. This is where the magic happens, where we create a visual story and style that captures the vision and feel of the wall mural. This process is time consuming, we do research and dig deep into our minds pulling out our creative genius along with a sketch and finalize it into a mock-up master piece.

 

4. Painting & Timeline

Once the design has been approved, we'll schedule a date to get started on your custom artwork or mural.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A WALL MURAL?

Our murals are customized. The cost of your wall mural depends on the following variables:

  • size (skyscraper / restaurant)

  • style (street art / Sistine Chapel

  • wall texture (brick / rough stucco / dry wall)

  • amount of detail (fine art detail / graphic

  • scaffolding / lifts

  • and other variables, such as ceilings and stairwells

  • specific materials needed

  • travel (local / out of state / international)

  • shipping costs (FedEx / UPS / USPS)

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE TO COMPLETE A MURAL?

The amount of time it takes to complete a mural depends on the mural. We know your schedule is important; So we provide a time estimate before paint ever touches the wall. A typical 20’x9’ wall could take anywhere from 5-14days, depending on the amount of fine detail and the wall surface.

DO YOU PAINT ON WALLS OR CANVAS? HOW ABOUT OTHER SURFACES?

We can paint your art mural directly on your wall, or on long-lasting, polyester canvas.

1. Murals painted on canvas

Canvas murals are painted at Vivache Designs studio and then delivered to your home/business. They are hung like wallpaper. Being that the mural is painted at our studio, it is more convenient for both parties. It takes only part of a day to hang the completed art canvas mural. We can send you real-time progression shots of the mural via text or email upon request. There are many advantages to having your mural painted on canvas.

  1. You can have the mural removed from the wall, should you decide to move, and installed at your new location. 

  2. All that is required is that your walls be prepped with a pre-wall covering primer, for premium adhesion. Acrylic Primer/Sealer.

  3. Mural can be removed and reinstalled.

2. Murals painted directly on the wall


Most wall murals, are best painted at your specified location. This is the best for most exterior murals, oddly shaped walls, or simple "silhouette" murals (such as a few hands, objects or lettering painted throughout a space).

WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?

For most murals, a high-quality waterborne acrylic latex paint is used and guaranteed to last for many years without chipping or fading. This paint is very durable and can be washed with soap and water without being removed. If a mural is in a space with extreme temperature or humidity elements (such as kitchens, bathrooms and exteriors), a clear protective coat is recommended as a final step. In some cases, an oil paint or exterior paint may be used. This will depend on the project's needs.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY WALLS FOR A MURAL?

In order to ensure a beautiful final work of art, the walls need to be free from holes, dents, dirt or residue. If a mural or faux finish is being painted directly on the wall, the wall should have a clean coat of latex wall paint (the color can be determined before starting.) If a canvas mural is to be hung on the wall, the wall must first receive a Acrylic Primer/Sealer.

WILL YOU TRAVEL?

We are happy to travel. While Los Angeles,CA is our Headquarters, we will travel out of state and internationally. In some cases, we'll meet you at your location for an in-person site survey. Otherwise, we can do video walk through on the phone, email or live video consultation via ZOOM. We'll compile an estimate, we just ask that you email photos and measurements of your space.

Your artwork can be painted in our studio and then shipped to you. We'll contact an installer to hang your mural. Otherwise, we'd be happy to paint your mural onsite with added travel costs.

DO YOU PAINT ANY SUBJECT AND ANY STYLE?

ABSOLUTELY! Vivache Designs can paint it all! Our custom works of art range from fine art religious images, street art, animals, portraits, landscapes to cityscapes, mythological scenes and many more. If you can dream it, we can paint it. We can also paint in any style - from realism to impressionism, abstract to modern, cubism to futurism. If you have a favorite artist or style, we can make your artwork resemble your unique taste.

CAN I COMMISSION A PORTRAIT & WHAT'S THE COST?

Selfies; they come and go, but portraits last an eternity. Your oil-painted picture is something beyond a resemblance; it's created to attract the eye and genuinely catch the life of the subject’s ora. Our artists will work together with you to suit your vision and recount to your story. Representation charges shift. The cost depends on the size of the artistic creation, the amount of the subject is portrayed, number of individuals or pets in the piece, and the multifaceted nature of the dress, props and background environment. Travel costs, encircling expenses and transportation are extra.

Each additional portrait or figure on the same canvas is an additional 65%.

Backgrounds are typically less detailed than the portrait. For a more highly detailed background, add 70% to the portrait cost.

Any possible travel costs are added for projects 30 miles outside Los Angeles.

Shipping charges for projects 30 miles outside Los Angeles are not included, and will be added accordingly.

Framing is not included. However, we can take care of framing for an additional $250 fee, plus the cost of the frame. 

 

WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT?

We can take, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, checks, cash, debit cards and major credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX) & all verified cryptocurrencies.

ART MURALS 
Once you approve the conceptual art designs your mural's preliminary sketch/design, we will need a 50% deposit to schedule your job. Once your artwork is completed, we will invoice you and collect the remaining 50%.
CUSTOM PORTRAITS 
50%, non-refundable deposit for your portrait is required upon the signing of the contract, which begins the preliminary design and color study. The full amount is due upon approval of the portrait.
